intrusion detection
Intrusion Detection is to computer systems and networks what a burglar alarm is to a house; intrusion detection is the process of systematically monitoring events on a system or network, searching for signs of a potential attack. Intrusion detection systems have been discussed in research since 1980s and grew out of a history of system auditing for security purposes.
This site consists of links to and descriptions of various intrusion detection resources, categorized through a completely subjective method.
